Tell us a bit about yourself and your background
I was born and raised in Buenos Aires and began my career studying law, wanting to understand how rules shape value and decision-making. But I soon realised that my real passion lay with the people building new things – founders, operators, and investors who are creating change from the ground up.
My first role was as a junior lawyer at a regional VC fund, where I got first-hand exposure to early-stage investing. I learned how term sheets, governance, and incentives shape a deal and drive alignment – lessons that shaped the rest of my career. That experience pushed me to move to the investment side, joining an impact accelerator to work directly with startups across Latin America. There, I helped founders raise capital and scale with a long-term mindset.
Since then, I’ve remained close to entrepreneurship, capital, and strategic growth. I’m motivated by long-term thinking, meaningful relationships, and doing the hard things with consistency and integrity.
What made you choose Vesta as the next step in your career?
I saw a unique opportunity to be part of something big in Latin America. The region is bursting with talent, and the timing is right to take innovation to the next level.
Vesta combines a strong global track record with a clear, long-term vision for growth. I believe it can become a major player in the LATAM tech ecosystem. It’s a privilege to be part of a company that not only has a solid foundation but also bold ambitions.
I joined because I want to leave a mark – to help build something meaningful that delivers lasting impact in the region.
What are your goals for the next 12 months?
My focus is on supporting Francisco as he leads our expansion in Argentina. We’re the first two team members on the ground here, so this is a foundational phase.
Over the next year, we’ll be laying the groundwork – building relationships, mapping opportunities, and understanding the market. It’s about aligning local efforts with Vesta’s global standards and vision. Our aim is to plant the right seeds now so we can start seeing real results in 2026 and beyond.
It’s an exciting chapter, and I’m fully committed to making it count.
What are your top three books or podcasts?
I’m a huge podcast fan and try to stay connected to startup and investment trends at local, regional, and global levels.
Here are my top picks:
- Startupeable – Enzo Cavalie interviews the big names from Latin America’s startup world. Great for regional insights.
- 20VC – Harry Stebbings brings sharp questions and fresh angles on the VC landscape in the US and Europe.
- Bloomberg Daybreak Argentina – Francisco Aldaya delivers essential news on Argentina’s economy and business world every weekday.
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I’ve always loved sports – rugby and football were my favourites growing up. In recent years, I’ve focused on running. I’ve completed several half-marathons across Argentina and ran my first full marathon last year in Buenos Aires.
One of my proudest achievements was completing the “Cruce de los Andes” – a demanding 100km trail race through the Argentine Patagonia, spread over three days. It was a true test of endurance and mindset.
If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?
I’d love to become a polyglot. For me, languages aren’t just tools for communication, they open doors to different cultures, ways of thinking, and deeper human connection.
I’m particularly drawn to Portuguese and Japanese – both cultures fascinate me, and I’d love to engage with them beyond a surface level. Mastering the language would allow me to understand those markets in a much more meaningful way.
What is your favourite quote?
“You rise as high as your dominant aspiration.”
This quote reminds me that our growth is defined not by external circumstances, but by how clearly and ambitiously we set our goals. A dominant aspiration gives everything we do direction, motivation, and purpose. It’s a reminder that long-term success is built one choice at a time, with intention and commitment.
