At the end of 2021, Vesta Software Group completed its first two acquisitions in Latin America. Not only was this a first for our portfolio, but Jonas Software’s too! Since then, our LATAM division has grown considerably, welcoming a further six mission-critical vertical market software companies while also building a dedicated central team in the region.
In this article, we’ll be diving into some highlights of our journey in Latin America so far and introducing you to the companies that make up our portfolio.
2021 – Welcoming our first acquisitions in the region
We had been building up to our first acquisitions in Latin America for some time, so we were thrilled to finally welcome two excellent software companies to the Vesta family in the form of GeneXus Consulting and K2B.
GeneXus Consulting was founded in 1992 with the aim of building state-of-the-art digital solutions to transform organisations across Uruguay and beyond. Whether it be web and mobile applications or assisting organisations in updating their digital solutions, GeneXus seek to generate efficiency and greater value for customers and stakeholders alike.
K2B specialises in ERP solutions for both public and private sectors, enabling the automation of key business processes such as administration and accounting. By integrating these functions, K2B is helping organisations to boost agility and efficiencies, all while remaining future proof and swiftly adapting to changes as and when required.
2022 – Our first steps into Chile and Peru
Just over a year after completing our first acquisitions in the region, we welcomed Datalogic Software and Qwantec to the Vesta family. Datalogic marked our third acquisition in Uruguay, while Qwantec paved the way for our first steps into Chile and Peru.
2022 also highlighted our commitment to decentralisation, spurring the formation of Vesta Software Group LATAM – Jonas Software’s first central LATAM team.
Datalogic is a well-known provider of resource planning, human resource and payroll software solutions. The company’s comprehensive suite of products offer modern and effective solutions for medium and large-sized businesses throughout Latin America.
Qwantec is a leading provider of time and attendance software solutions in Chile and Peru. As well as allowing businesses to optimise and centralise attendance control with their specialised software solution, Qwantec also supplies cutting-edge biometric clocks that are designed to suit all types of businesses.
2023 – Expanding our presence in Uruguay
It was a busy but exciting second half of 2023 for the Vesta team, as we welcomed three new companies into our portfolio. Uruware, GSoft and Nodum took our total number of acquisitions in Uruguay to six, joining a rapidly growing portfolio.
We also hosted our inaugural Vesta Nucleo event, bringing together both current and future leaders from all of our companies in the region.
Uruware is Uruguay’s leading provider of electronic invoicing software, implementing solutions throughout a variety of industries including retail, banking and call centres. Since introducing their first development in 2011, the company has focused on supporting organisations with reliable tools that allow them to optimise their billing processes.
GSoft has been dedicated to transforming the needs of their clients with technological solutions since 1999. The company is focused on electronic invoicing, payment solutions and point of sale systems for both the retail and hospitality industries.
Nodum is a leading provider of ERP solutions throughout Latin America. With over four decades of experience dedicated to developing innovative software solutions for global organisations, Nodum aim to optimise natural business processes, including payroll, warehouse and asset management, through specialised technology.
2024 – Strategic expansion into legal technology
With a focus on expanding our presence across various vertical markets, 2024 signified a strategic move into the specialised field of legal technology. This was solidified as we welcomed Amisoft into the Vesta family, our second acquisition in Chile.
Amisoft has established itself as a leading provider of digital legal processing solutions for the judicial sector in Latin America. Since the company was founded 1997, Amisoft has been streamlining operations within the industry, including case and document management, and workflow automation for courts and legal professionals.
