Recently, we welcomed Noah Hewitt to the team here at Vesta as an M&A Analyst. He will be pivotal to our growth in the European market, so we are thrilled to have him join us.

To find out a bit more about Noah and his background, we sat down for a Q&A session.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your background

I was born in Birmingham where I have resided for all my life. I completed a BA Honours degree in Accounting & Finance from Nottingham Trent University before joining EY on an Assurance graduate scheme in 2018. I qualified as a chartered accountant in 2021 and have been a qualified member of the Scottish Institute (ICAS) since.

What made you choose Vesta as the next step in your career?

Vesta offers a unique and exciting proposition to VMS companies which initially grabbed my attention. Having the opportunities to work with so many innovative software companies and their management teams on buy-side deals was an opportunity I could not turn down!

What are your top three books / podcasts?

I am not a massive reader, however I am a big fan of ancient Rome. Two of my favourite books; ‘Meditations by Marcus Aurelius’ (Gregory Hays translation) and ‘Empress of Rome: The Life of Livia’ (Matthew Dennison).

My favourite podcast would be ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’.

What do you enjoy doing out of work?

Outside of work I enjoy keeping active. I regularly kickbox and enjoy hiking with my dogs when the weather is good.

Who inspires you?

My biggest inspiration would be my parents. They are incredibly hardworking and have always encouraged me to grab life by the horns!

If you could learn to do absolutely anything, what would it be?

To learn how to fly a plane!
