M&A Analyst Akos Tempfli

We’re excited to welcome Ákos Tempfli to the Vesta family as our new M&A Analyst. Based in the CEE region, Ákos will be a key member of the team, providing invaluable insights into the software market and helping us identify and evaluate new opportunities. His strong background in finance and equity research, paired with his passion for people and growth, make him a fantastic addition to Vesta.

Tell us a bit about yourself and your background.

I am originally from Romania and belong to the Hungarian minority living in the heart of Transylvania, in Cluj-Napoca – the city where my professional journey began. Here, I studied finance and laid the foundations of my career. Later, I moved to Budapest, where I worked as an Event-Driven Equity Analyst while completing my master’s degree, also in finance. After graduating, I decided to return to Transylvania, as I missed my home and friends, and I took on a role as an Equity Research Analyst covering the beverages industry. In this position, I gained extensive knowledge of capital markets and developed meaningful insights into company valuations.

What made you choose Vesta as the next step in your career?

I chose to join Vesta because I felt it was the right moment to take the next step in my career, and I saw Vesta as the perfect fit. As an M&A Analyst, I will have the opportunity to combine company valuation with close client interaction – exactly the balance I was looking for. What also drew me to Vesta was its unique approach in the financial world, paired with a warm, supportive and growth-oriented company culture that immediately made me feel welcome.

What are your goals for the next 12 months?

Over the next 12 months, I aim to develop a deep understanding of the software industry, so I can bring valuable insights to our team when evaluating target companies. I also aspire to confidently manage the full M&A process and contribute to closing as many deals as possible in both Hungary and Romania.

What do you enjoy doing out of work?

Outside of work, I have many passions. I enjoy following sports events – especially football – and regularly play with my friends. I also like spending time in the kitchen, where I can prepare delicious dishes. Being young, energetic and extroverted, I value quality time with friends, and when possible, I love to travel, hike across the region and Europe, and explore other continents as well.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be?

One of my personal ambitions would be to learn multiple languages and speak them fluently, as I believe communication is key – and connecting with someone in their native language is the best way to do it.

What is your favourite quote?

I think these two are the ones which I really like and describe the best, how I think about life:

“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” – Pablo Picasso

“Life is either a daring adventure or nothing at all.” – Helen Keller
