We’re proud to share that Vesta Software Group has been named in the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women™ 2026 list by Great Place To Work® UK!
This recognition means a great deal to us, not least because of the industry we operate in.
Women in software are still underrepresented & underestimated
The technology and software sector has made progress on gender diversity in recent years, but it remains one of the least balanced industries when it comes to the representation and experience of women at work. Women are still underrepresented at every level of the software industry – from graduate intake through to senior leadership – and the gap widens considerably the further up an organisation you look.
That context matters when we talk about this recognition. Being named in this list, while being based in the software sector specifically, reflects a genuine commitment to doing something that many companies in this space are still working out how to do well.
How the list is judged
The UK’s Best Workplaces for Women™ list isn’t self-nominated or based on company submissions alone. Employees respond to over 60 survey questions describing the extent to which their organisation creates a Great Place to Work For All™. 85% of the ranking is based on what women themselves report about their workplace and how fairly those experiences compare to men’s reports of the same workplaces.
The assessment also goes beyond headline numbers. Great Place To Work® analyses the experiences of women in the workplace, as well as their representation at all levels of the workforce relative to each organisation’s size and workforce make-up. Women’s daily experiences of innovation, the company’s values and the effectiveness of their leaders are also factored in, to ensure those experiences are consistent across the board. The remaining 15% of the evaluation is based on how well represented women are in the workforce and throughout management.
What this means to us
At Vesta, we’ve always believed that great teams are built on the contributions of everyone within them. To us, that means creating an environment where women can thrive, progress and lead, at every level of the group. This recognition tells us that the women across our group feel the same, which matters more to us than any ranking.
